WHY LEVUS
Designer, engineer, coder, musician, gamer or a regular office-warrior – the chances are that you are spending most of your time working with a computer. While the processing power of the machines has developed dramatically, the way we interact with them hasn't changed since the middle ages. Desk….chair….discomfort….back pain….
Fiddling with chair controls…trying to keep comfortable posture…fiddling with chair controls…trying to keep comfortable posture…get a gymnastic ball….get rid of a gymnastic ball…fiddling with chair controls…
Vertical spine pressure is reduced through laid-back set-up. Body weight is distributed along the entire body. Hand-made recliner provides for a comfortable lumbar position through an open 120 degrees hip-spine angle.
Looking for printer paper to put the monitors to the right position. Rolling around in a chair looking for a comfortable position.
Using our custom mounts, monitors and laptops are comfortably positioned around you, forming an informational cockpit of a digital-age pilot. Optimal eye–to–screen distance.
Wow that was expensive!!! Legs & feet getting tired from standing. Lowering the desk to a regular position, getting a chair. Fiddling with chair controls… trying to keep comfortable posture.
Lift the table to a position optimal for your shoulder and arm length. Reduced shoulder tension and smooth mouse control. Left / right hand table mount possible.

YOUR PERSONAL WORKSTATION
MONITOR HOLDERS
Position all your screens where you want them to be, and as many as you want them to be. Our custom-designed monitor holders work with most VESA-compatible screens. Rotational pivots allow for complete flexibility of your work set up:
· horizontal or vertical screen alignment
· one large screen: no limit on size or weight of your monitor
· two screen desktop split / dual-monitor holder set-up
· three screen desktop split / tripple-monitor set-up for a cockpit feel
· X number of screens (running a video surveilance station?!)

LAPTOP / NOTEBOOK HOLDERS
If you are working with a portable computer use our custom-made notebook holder. You can position it on either side of the workstation / main monitor and comfortably extend your desktop onto all screens. Get additional holders to work with several laptops simultaneously.
WORK MODES
Switch between four tilt angles, depending on your individual comfort preferences.

"WORK" mode (40° angle) for those who are new to the LEVUS ergonomics philosophy. Easy to get in and out of the workstation.

"GAME" mode (35° angle) where relaxation effects and pressure relief though a reclined position is kicking in.

"MOVIE" mode (30° angle) with even stronger weight-point distribution across the body.

"SLEEP" mode (25° angle) with a nearly horizontal working position. Extreme relaxation of muscles and joints. Can be used for sleep breaks in-between the work

NECK ROLL HEADREST
Inspired by Japanese buckwheat neck rolls (masterpieces of ancient ergonomics) we developed a hard foam headrest that comfortably fits under your neck, keeping your spine straight. The exact position of the pillow can be regulated by a strap and adjusted to your individual physiological parameters.
KEYBOARD TABLE
Some cannot live without it others feel constricted by it. The choice is yours!

The keyboard table is a prefect example of our modular design.
At first we decided against such a contraption but some of our fanbase had a different view. Since our job is to make everybody comfortable we gave in and now you have a sturdy tabletop right in front of you, making everything even more ergonomic, especially for split keyboard lovers. Able to withstand 15kg / 30lb and more.
BASIC PRINCIPLES OF WORKPLACE ERGONOMICS
  • MAINTAIN NEUTRAL POSITION
Open Hip-Spine Angle: human body takes the NBP (neutral body posture) with a wide open hip-spine angle just naturally when placed in a zero-gravity environment. The back is pressing comfortably against the hardfoam seat surface - no excess pressure on lumbar area as it happens with classical / vertical chairs (even if they claim to be "ergonomic"). Ultimate typing ergonomics is achieved when using a split keyboard like ZSA Moonlander - as your arms being parallel to your body.

  • REDUCE STATIC LOAD
Not a single muscle or tendon in your body are subject to static load or force: Forearms are resting on the keyboard table, while the elbow can be supported by a dedicated handrest. Mouse-hand is resting on the lowered side table - the shoulder stays relaxed. Use vertical mouse for ultimate wrist comfort. Head is resting centrally on the headrest, requiring no physical effort to be kept in such position. Legs are resting on the spacious lounge mattress, having no bending / pressure spot in the thigh as it often happens with conventional chars

  • REDUCE EXCESSIVE MOTIONS
Keyboard, mouse, headphones, notepad, cellphone, RedBull - all within a hand's reach, like in an airplane cockpit. Once in a working position you will be amazed with how little motion you will have. Warning: we strongly advise to get out of the workstation every now and then and engage your body in some kind of a physical activity.
DOING YOUR FIRST-CLASS WORK FROM A FIRST-CLASS SEAT...

Regular office chairs are like economy-class: they're ok for a couple of hours, but become a pain in the neck / back / butt during longer working sessions. Why not get a first-class upgrade for your home office set-up?

Prevent Slumped Posture
Bad backs have hidden costs. They draw away attention from work and are more difficult and costly to replace. Don't go against gravity, use it.

PROFILE
Daniil emerged from Siberian permafrost in north-eastern Russia and is since then on a quest for process optimization. After studying computer science in the UK and Germany he continues as an ERP-Consultant, helping companies organize their information flows.

While in Vienna he learns about Anton's first workstation experiments. He offers his help in the operational part – the LEVUS project is born.

PROFILE
Born in Russia in the family of a rocket scientist, Anton moved to Europe at an early age. After studying computer graphics and game design in the UK he pursued a graphical artist career. Working with 3D-modelling and animation, Anton had extensive first-hand experience with the shortcomings of the modern desk-chair combination.

Spending long hours behind a computer screen he started experimenting with his workplace, seeking to achieve a healthy ergonomic set-up.
The last thing you want to have working on your project is a constant distraction through mere discomfort of sitting.

Permanent sedentary work has already been recognized as unhealthy and, in the long-run, potentially dangerous to your health.

THE BEGINNING
When you're working 9am-5pm or add a round of 9pm-5am to meet a deadline, you want to have a COMFORTABLE WORKPLACE.
We went looking for alternatives: standing desks, gymnastic balls, overpriced office chairs are no good if you are looking for a truly comfortable workplace for deep immersion and highly focused work.

... so we had to develop an alternative.
Hey Dan! Remember how I told you about my back pain last week? So I've kinda re-engineered my workspace to help with that.

I adjusted my office chair at a reclined angle so my weight is split between the back and the legs to take off pressure from my spine. But then I had to compensate and tilt my table as well by shortening its front legs. Looks a bit Frankestein, but it works dude!

Daniil
Hey man! You've been busy I see! Looks great... but you broke your chair and mutilated the table! Nobody's going to do such a thing at home – you're crazy! Besides, where are you gonna put your coffee now?
Haha, you're right! That wasn't intended for sale though... I was just making my own workplace more comfortable. And yeah, the coffee problem isn't solved yet.

Still working on it!
Anton
Daniil
Well actually... what if we made a real product out of it? I'm sure you're not alone with this issue – there are probably many others suffering from the same problem. Considering the digital age we live in, it's not going to get any better unless we rethink the way we interact with computers on a daily basis...

Let's talk about this over a beer tomorrow!
IRON AGE
Thick solid steel pipes welded together. Untransportable, heavy as hell Frankenstein-monster. Good for weight-lifting work-outs, not so good for computer work

PLASTIC AGE

    FAQ
You ask - we answer. If your question is not here - send us a note
    • How is the keyboard holding on the keyboard table at an angle?
Most keyboards have rubber-feet on the underside - those provide enough friction to "stick" to the table surface. If you wish to use your mouse on the keyboard table you'd have to reduce the default angle so that the mouse does not slip when not held
    • How do I arrange my cables?
We'll provide hook&loop cable binders - they work very well. Unfortunately there is no possibility to put cables inside the pipes as this would require drilling large holes in the pipes, compromising stability.
    • What are the dimensions (Size / Weight)?
Assembled, the workstation takes 220cm x 120cm of space (7,2ft x 4ft) - roughly the same as a regular desk & chair. Total weight (without monitors) is 50kg (110lbs)
    • Do you ship worldwide?
Yes - we will be shipping worldwide. Consult your local customs to see if any additional charges or taxes might apply
Two curved vertical 49 inch screens - programmer's paradise.
What is the biggest single monitor it can handle?

For a curved monitor that accepts 200x200 VESA there are no limits. If you require a 400x400 or 200x400 VESA adapter - let us know.

Regular (flat) screens with a diagonal bigger than 42.5" will not be able to fit inside the core structure without bumping into the side bearing pipes due to 104cm distance between pipes.

How many monitors can it fit?

there is no weight limit as the structure is sturdy enough for you to do pull-ups in it, so you can attach as many monitors as you want. Let us know if you have managed to achieve a new record - the Levus Hall of Fame is waiting for your set-up.

Jokes aside - the right question should be: what is the right monitor set-up for you? With the Levus workstaiton we recommend you question your current monitor - is it still good enough for the job?
